A one-off deep clean in Bexleyheath costs from £186. For that you get a pair of cleaners on site for three hours, each billed at £26 an hour, plus a £30 charge for equipment and cleaning products. It is a team job booked for a single date, and it has nothing to do with our weekly hourly cleaning, which is priced and run differently.

The £30 pays for our machines and chemicals. Should you want your own products used instead (some people are particular about what touches a stone worktop, and fair enough) it comes off. Should the job need longer than booked, the extra time is £26 a head per hour, agreed with you on the day before we carry on.
Deep clean, weekly cleaner or tenancy clean
These three get confused. Somebody for a few hours each week to keep the house ticking over is regular cleaning at £23 an hour, and it is cheaper. Keys going back to a landlord call for an end of tenancy clean, priced by bedrooms with the oven as an optional extra. A deep clean is for a house you are staying in that has got ahead of you. Family coming to stay, builders just gone, a house that has stood empty, a weekly cleaner who has been losing ground for a year: those are the usual reasons.
Two people in one room get more done in three hours than one person manages in six. One takes the wall cupboards while the other works along the skirting.
What we work through
Kitchen first. We clean inside the cupboards and across the tops of the wall units, where dust and grease settle into a tacky layer, then behind the appliances, and we take the hood filter out and degrease it. Bathrooms are second, and here that means descaling before anything else, because Bexleyheath’s chalky water coats anything wet within a couple of years. Screens and their tracks, taps, grout, and shower heads soaked and rinsed.
After that comes the rest of the house: skirtings, door tops, light fittings, both sides of the radiators, internal glass, and wardrobes if they are empty. Floors last. Carpets are not included, since they need the extraction machine and are priced separately from £36 a room.
How long your house needs
Two cleaners do a two bed flat properly in three hours, and that is our most common booking. A three bed semi wants four hours with two (£238), or three hours with three (£264) if you want it finished inside a morning. After builders we recommend three cleaners for six hours, which is £498.
Old sash windows
Bexley has sixteen conservation areas, among them Old Bexley, Crayford and Welling, and many homes inside them keep their original single-glazed sashes. Condensation runs down the inside of those panes every winter and dries into a tidemark in the corner. A squeegee will not touch it. We clean them by hand with a mild product and go carefully round painted glazing bars. Allow an extra half hour; clean windows are what make a room look finished.
Boxes and garages
Households in this town keep a lot, in garages and utility rooms and under the stairs. If boxes need moving before we reach the floor, say so and we book the time in, so every room still gets its full clean.
After building work
Rear extensions are common on the interwar houses round here, and cleaning up after one is its own job. Plaster dust is fine enough to settle, get wiped, and settle again, so we do the flat surfaces last and then go over them a second time. Book six hours with three cleaners. Paint splashes on glass and cement haze on new tiles come off.
