A regular cleaner in Bexleyheath is £23 for every hour a cleaner spends in your home on a weekly rota, or £24 an hour if we come fortnightly. Three hours every week comes to £69. There is nothing to sign, and we keep the same person on your house so you are not opening the door to a stranger every week.
Hourly rates
| How often | Hourly rate | Three hours | Four hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekly | £23 | £69 | £92 |
| Fortnightly | £24 | £72 | £96 |
Visits run for three hours or more, which gives time to get properly round the house. Fortnightly costs more an hour for a plain reason: a fortnight of bathroom build-up takes longer to clear than a week of it, so each hour gets less done. A house cleaned weekly stays ahead of itself.
What a visit covers
In the kitchen we do the worktops, the sink, the top of the hob, the cupboard fronts and the inside of the microwave. In the bathroom it is the loo, basin, bath or shower and the screen. Floors get vacuumed and mopped throughout. We dust as we go, skirtings and picture frames included when time allows. Leave clean bedding out and we will change the beds. Bins get emptied before we leave.
Choosing the hours
| Home | Hours a week | Weekly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Flat or bungalow, one bathroom | 3 | £69 |
| Three bed semi, one bathroom | 3 | £69 |
| Four bedrooms, two bathrooms | 4 | £92 |
Treat those as starting points. If three hours every week does not fit the way you live, we might suggest four hours a fortnight instead, and we will be straight with you if the hours booked will not cover the house. In water this hard, a bathroom adds more time than a bedroom does.
One cleaner, kept on your house
We keep a single cleaner on each household wherever the rota allows. It is quicker, for one thing. Somebody on their twentieth visit knows where the hoover lives and which tap drips. When your cleaner is ill or away we phone the day before and offer either a stand-in or a different day, and the choice is yours. Holding a key makes cover far simpler, and nobody gets into your home unless you have arranged it with us.
Why the weekday slots go first
More than one Bexley resident in five is 65 or over, and that shows in how our diary fills. Many of our regulars have lived in the same house since the 1970s and want the same weekday morning, every week, with a key safe screwed up beside the door. Tuesday and Wednesday go first; weekends stay quiet. Inner London works the other way round. The routine also means the cleaner notices things. If the milk is still on the step, they knock. The same pattern holds in Blackfen and Old Bexley, where the weekday diary fills well ahead of the Saturday one.
Ironing
We iron at £12 an hour, added on top of your booked cleaning time. Book three hours of cleaning plus an hour for shirts, and the house still gets its full three. Tell us when you book and we will set the hours to suit.
Getting to you
No Underground line reaches the borough. Our cleaners who do not drive come in on the buses that spread out from the town centre towards Woolwich, Eltham, Sidcup and Erith, which matters if you would like an 8am start somewhere the routes do not go. The drivers have it easy, since nearly every house has a drive or a dropped kerb to pull onto.
Kept separate from a regular visit
An oven means taking the parts out for a long soak, so oven cleaning is a separate booking from £77. Carpet cleaning is separate too, at £36 a bedroom.
If the house needs a big catch-up first, book a one-off deep clean with a team and then carry on weekly from there. Over a year that works out cheaper than paying one person by the hour to dig out of a hole.
Starting
Call 020 8077 2940 and describe the house, or we can come round and see it. We will need the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, any pets, and the day that suits you. Most people start the following week. The complete list lives on our prices page.
Questions we get asked
What will a weekly cleaner cost me in Bexleyheath?
£23 an hour for each cleaner when you book weekly, or £24 for fortnightly visits. That makes three hours a week £69 and four hours £92, while three hours every other week is £72.
Will it be the same cleaner each time?
That is the aim, because a cleaner who knows your house works faster. If they are off, we ring the day before with a replacement or another day, whichever you prefer.
Do I have to be in?
No. Most of our regulars are out while we clean. We can hold a key, locked away, or use a key safe by the door, which makes covering a sick day much easier.
Whose cleaning products do you use?
On regular visits most people like us to use whatever is under their sink, and we tell you when something is running low. If you would prefer us to bring our own, just ask. On one-off jobs we supply everything.
Is there a minimum booking?
Three hours per visit, which is £69 on a weekly rota. The £67 minimum on one-off jobs, such as a single carpet, does not apply to regular hourly cleaning.
You can also ring 020 8077 2940, any day from 8am.
