Oven cleaning in Bexleyheath is priced per appliance. A single costs £77 and a double £110, and the bigger cookers run to £143, for a 90cm range or a two-oven AGA. A single wide oven sits between them at £114. Racks, trays, pan supports and the fan cover come out and soak until the carbon softens. The inside of the oven, the door glass and the seal are cleaned by hand in your kitchen, and you can cook in it that evening.
Oven prices
| Appliance | Price |
|---|---|
| Single oven | £77 |
| Double oven | £110 |
| Single wide oven | £114 |
| 90cm range cooker | £143 |
| Two-oven AGA | £143 |
| Hob, booked with an oven | £23 |
| Extractor hood, booked with an oven | £28 |
The oven by itself clears our £67 minimum for one-off work, though a hob booked alone would not. Moving out? Add it to the tenancy clean for £31 instead and we do both in one visit, so a one bed flat with its oven is £238.
Single, double or range?
Count the doors. One main cavity makes a single, even with a small grill compartment above it. Two cavities, stacked at eye level or built in under the worktop, make a double. A range is the wide freestanding kind, 90cm across with a big hob on top. Still unsure? Send us a photo.
What happens during the clean
We begin by spreading gel over the roof, sides and back of the cavity and leaving it to work. Meanwhile the removable parts soak. Burnt-on carbon is layer after layer of baked fat, and the solution softens it enough to lift away with a scraper, so racks end up their original colour instead of scoured silver. Where the soaking happens depends on the team: a heated tank travels on some of our vans and gets used when the van can park right by the house, and the rest of the time the parts soak in your kitchen. The price is the same, and you can ask which to expect when you book.
The door is the fiddly part. Most unhook and come apart into two or three sheets of glass, and the brown haze everyone hates is usually trapped between them. That is why a quick spray and wipe never looks right. Doors that are sealed or glued shut we leave intact rather than risk a hinge. Seals get wiped and left dry, since soaking perishes the rubber.
As a rough guide, a single with a year’s use takes about two hours, a double nearer three, and a range with its hob most of a morning. An AGA takes most of a working day. If yours has never been cleaned since it was fitted, tell us, because that can double things.
Liners that need a gentler touch
Rough, matt side panels mean catalytic liners, and the soak solution would ruin them. They are cleaned by hand and will come up clean but never glossy, which is normal for that surface. Pyrolytic ovens clean their own interiors, so there we would do the door, the glass, the racks and the runners and leave the lining alone. Sometimes that is all you need, and we would sooner say so than sell you the full job.
Range cookers in the Danson Park kitchens
Bigger plots in DA6 mean bigger kitchens, and we meet more 90cm ranges there than anywhere else on the round. A range takes noticeably longer than a double, and that is what the higher price covers. The cast iron pan supports, burner caps and drip trays all come off to soak, and the splashback behind the hob usually needs as much work as the oven does. Turn an AGA off the evening before, because we need it stone cold by morning; oil-fired ranges, and anything larger, we quote from a photograph. Where the whole kitchen has gone the same way, a deep clean takes in the units, worktops and hood as well.
Limescale on the glass
Bexleyheath’s water is hard, and oven glass that is rinsed and left to air dry ends up streaked white. We dry it by hand. Obvious, you might think. It is still the step people skip when they are trying to squeeze four ovens into a day.
Booking an oven clean
Most oven work here happens on weekday mornings. A fair share of it is for regular customers whose keys we already hold; with more than a fifth of the borough aged 65 or over, plenty of people would rather not sit in waiting for us. We tend to run a string of ovens through Welling and Blackfen on the same day. Call 020 8077 2940 with the type of oven and roughly when it was last cleaned, or read about our other services first.
Questions we get asked
How much does oven cleaning cost in Bexleyheath?
£77 buys a single oven clean and £110 a double. For a 90cm range it is £143, the same as a two-oven AGA. Add £23 for the hob or £28 for the extractor hood if they are done on the same booking.
How soon can I cook again?
Dinner can go in that night. We rinse and neutralise every surface before packing up, so nothing needs burning off and your food will not taste of chemicals.
We have young children and a dog. Anything we should know?
We use professional oven products. The gel used inside the oven is caustic, and we rinse all of it out before leaving. Keep children and the dog or cat out of the kitchen while we are there, because of the soaking parts, the open oven door and the trailing cables.
Do you do the grill pan and the microwave?
Yes, both as priced lines: the grill pan is £11 and soaks alongside the racks, and a microwave is £22. On a range, the pan supports and burner caps are already part of the £143.
Is the oven part of a tenancy clean?
Not in the bedroom price. It goes on as an add-on at £31, lower than the usual rate, and we build the extra time into the quote at the start.
